Pradip Paudyal received Bachelor's degree (Bachelor of Engineering) in Electronics and Communication from Pokhara University, Kathmandu, Nepal in 2007. He has completed his Master's degree (Master of Science) in Information and Communication Engineering from Institute of Engineering (IoE), Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal in 2010. During his Master's study at IoE, he also worked as Teaching Assistant in Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering.
As a requirement for his completion of Master's degree, he visited Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary for graduate research under European Union (EU) funded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Program and completed selected post graduate (PG) courses in the year 2010. His graduate research work on “MIMO-OFDMA Radio Resource Management (RRM)” was carried out at Mobile Innovation Center, Department of Telecommunication, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary during his study in Corvinus University of Budapest.
He also participated in summer academy course on “Wireless Communications - New Technology and Research Challenges”, at International Graduate School on Mobile Communications, Ilmenau University of Technology, Germany under German Exchange Program (DAAD Scholarship) in 2010. Beside this, he has also participated in some national and international workshops and trainings which are provided by International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and other related agencies.
Since 2011, he is working as Assistant Director at Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA: National Telecom Regulator of Nepal) as a full time staff. His prime job responsibilities are monitoring of telecom services, ensuring technical interconnection between telecom operators, fixing Quality of Service of telecom Services, ensuring technical competence of the new applicants for telecom service license, involving in research and development of new telecommunication technologies and services, etc. Apart from that, he is also involved in taking part times classes for the bachelor and master level engineering students in different colleges under Tribhuvan University, Pokhara University and Purbanchal University since 2010. Major subjects taught by him are Telecommunications, Wireless/Mobile Communication, Cellular Network Planning and other subjects related to telecommunication and Information and communication technologies.
Since January 2014, he is being a PhD student at University of Roma TRE, Rome Italy.
His research interest are in the area of Self Optimization in LTE-Advanced, Cognitive Radio Networks and Signal Processing for Wireless and Mobile Communications.
