Anna
Maria Vegni is actually a Ph. D. student in Biomedical Engineering, Electromagnetics and Telecommunications at the Department of Applied Electronics, University of Roma TRE, Rome, Italy.
She
received the 1st level Laurea Degree cum laude in Electronics
Engineering at University of Roma TRE, in July
2004. The title of the thesis is "Dynamic optimization
of a data transmission system for wideband connections".
In July 2006, she received the 2nd level Laurea Degree (Laurea
Magistralis) cum laude in Electronics Engineering,
Telecommunication field, at University of Roma TRE. The
title of the thesis is "Analysis of performances of optical
coherent PSK codes in OCDMA networks".
From May 2009 to October 2009, she was a visiting scholar in the Multimedia Communication Laboratory, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Boston University, Boston MA. Her research activity is focusing on vehicular networking supported by heterogeneous wireless networks. She is also involved in Visual Light Communications project, led by Prof. Thomas D.C. Little. This project intends to address technical barriers due to mobility issues under the dual use paradigm of LED lighting.
Her main research interests are mobility and interconnectivity in heterogeneous network environments, localization techniques, wireless and vehicular communications.
